I’ve worked in real estate for 25 years so I feel qualified to write that Stacey is a powerhouse broker. Stacey has that uncanny ability to command both the buyers’ and sellers’ attention during a negotiation without compromising her client’s positions or the integrity of the process. We listed my house just before the pandemic began; though I feared the worst, Stacey kept interest in the property white hot. Even when I felt anxious and frustrated by the changes caused by the pandemic, Stacey never argued for me to settle on subpar offers. Stacey told me to trust her and I did; sure enough the sale went through without a hitch and (in my opinion) at a record speed of about 3 weeks from accepted offer to closing. Stacey’s passion and love for real estate and for her clients are unbelievable. From the moment I started working with Stacey, I knew she would not only find me a house but the house. Stacey listens to what you want and assesses your needs. Then she searches and searches (which I think she will do 24 hours a day until she finds it!). She sent me every potential listing that met my criteria but never pushed unless she knew she needed to. I would often say no as I had conflicting feelings about what I thought I wanted. At one point I even told her I felt bad she’s doing so much work and to wait until I figure out what I want. She said okay but she continued to send me listings and then she sent me the listing. When I hesitated for a moment and said I’ll get back to her, she told me she knows it is the house for me. She called to let me know many people were showing interest and I needed to at least go see it. I trusted her, drove out, and sure enough I fell in love with it. There were many people vying for the house but Stacey landed the deal. And every step of the way, even with getting questions answered post-deal, she was right there helping me. Leaving New York City was a very hard decision for our family. Finding the right town to move to and a home was challenging and at times a devastating reality as we were so sad to leave New York City. A dear friend told us that Stacey Sporn would be the best agent for us, that she had tirelessly worked with her and her husband to find (and sell) their home and that she was just overall fantastic. We called Stacey knowing almost nothing about Upper Westchester and thinking we wanted to move to Armonk. Stacey met us and showed us 2 homes and immediately after speaking with us suggested an entirely different area that we had never heard of. Every house we looked at in Pound Ridge, we loved. We immediately fell in love with the rocky landscape, the long, drawn out front and back lawns and the acres and woods that surrounded each home. There was finally a glimmer of hope to our leaving New York City. We ended up staying that year in the city, not because we couldn’t find the right house, but because the timing wasn’t right. Stacey must have shown us no less than 30 homes. And showing, is such an understatement for the care and detail she gave to each visit. Working around our work and family schedules and ability to travel from NYC, Stacey was always flexible, available and smiling to accommodate our ever changing schedules. We would enter some homes and Stacey immediately would know it wasn’t right and courteously and graciously find a way to get us out without wasting our or the other brokers time. Stacey asked questions and saw things including problems and complications with homes, street logistics, areas, that my husband and I never would have thought to ask or think about. We felt like we had a partner on our side, always looking out for our needs and best interest. As a mother, Stacey knew which houses would accommodate my now ever growing supply of athletic equipment, (something we never had space or need for in the city) or which houses would make me “car pool friendly” and with any houses that we were interested in, Stacey gave me a plan for where my supermarket, pizza place, dry cleaning all my daily needs would be. Stacey was an expert on the public and private schools in the areas and knew so much about each town and the surrounding towns we looked at.

We had looked for homes before, and were often met with annoyance, or sheer exhaustion by the time we were at showing number 3 on one home or looking at house number 7for the first time. Stacey greeted us EVERY SINGLE TIME as if it were the first, with the patience, attention, knowledge and time that we have never found in any other broker we have worked with or seen representing a property. One home we looked at three times without making formal offer and Stacey never pressured us or made us feel we were an annoyance to her or the other broker, she was considerate to our trepidation and gave us the space and time we needed to make thoughtful decisions. In fact, when we didn’t move the first year, I was almost embarrassed to call Stacey the following spring, worried I had tried her patience after she had worked so hard and we didn’t find a home. At the same time, I knew there was no better broker around, so when I called, Stacey greeted me happily and we hit the ground running again. Stacey found creative solutions to problems (You can section off the long hallway and create a mudroom for storage that’s an easy fix you like the house...) and always got answers back from brokers/owners quickly and often with more details than we knew we needed. The entire process was made so much easier because of Stacey’s care, commitment and skills. After again exhausting ourselves and Stacey looking at around 20 homes, we thought the “right” home wasn’t available to us and were thinking of staying another year in the city. Then Stacey called and said, “Can you come up next week”. And then added calmly, I think something very special is coming on the market next week.” What another broker might have said was, “After running me around for 2 years, I have found the house that checks your boxes please come up because this MUST be it.” There was something in the subtlety and calmness yet the sureness in her tone that made me hopeful, and it was in fact the one. Stacey found us our home. From the day we found it until closing, Stacey was attentive and helpful with every detail and patient with us through bank headaches, managing questions regarding the home and inspection and gave me a detailed plan for how to move forward as I took my first step as a home owner with three small children, a process that can at times be overwhelming. I will never forget the kindness Stacey showed to me and how much her guidance helped my family during the transition. Even in our new home, Stacey would email me with community events and happenings and was my go-to person when I needed help as a mom getting familiar with my new surroundings.
